V&A ESD valves ordered by Sasol for high temp steam service

Together with Pibiviesse of Italy Valve & Automation have been awarded a significant order for ESD (Emergency Shutdown Valves) on high temperature service.

These valves were required for critical boiler shut down application. From condensate supplies to boiler, Feed water isolation, Boiler blow down valves. The aim of the project was to ensure the boiler is protected in any upset condition.

The valves were required to be metal seated trunnion mounted High temperature with bellow seat construction and had to achieve tight shut metal to metal.

Further challenge was the Delivery requirements. The project delivery requirements were critical- to have these valves on-time for critical tie inns, which happens every 4 years.

A total of 89 pieces from 3” to 20” class 300 & 600 have now been delivered
