TECHNICAL VALVE SALES SPECIALIST – VALVES & FLOW CONTROL EQUIPMENT (RUSTENBURG)

Location: Rustenburg, North West

Reports To: Regional Manager – Gauteng

Industry: Valves, Flow Control, and Instrumentation

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) to manage and develop business within the Rustenburg mining region. The successful candidate will take ownership of the territory, build long-term client relationships and drive profitable growth across our valve, pressure/vacuum relief, flame arrestor and tank blanketing product lines.

This role is ideally suited to a technically minded sales professional with solid experience in flow control equipment and established networks in the mining and process industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Manage and grow key accounts, including Anglo (Valterra), Implats, and other Rustenburg mining operations.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share in the mining and industrial sectors.
• Provide technical support, application solutions, and product recommendations to clients.
• Conduct on-site demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions.
• Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager, marketing, and engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, quotations, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and competitor analyses for management review.
• Represents the company at trade shows, client events, and industry forums.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the valve, flow control, or instrumentation industry.
• Proven exposure to Rustenburg mining clients (e.g., Anglo, Implats, Sibanye, etc.).
• Matric / Grade 12
• Trade or technical qualification in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering (N6 or National Diploma preferred).
• Solid technical understanding of flow applications and mining process systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
• Must reside within 30–50 km of major mining operations in Rustenburg.
