The PMV-EP5 electro-pneumatic positioner manufactured by Flowserve, is adapted from the PMV-P5 pneumatic positioner. It is a compact and sturdy positioner that is designed for maximum performance in all types of environments. The PMV-EP5 is available in Standard, Intrinsically Safe and Explosion Proof versions.
A modular feedback unit F5 enables you to add limit switches and/or position transmitters, without additional mounting brackets. Other features include: Gauge ports, replaceable filter, dampers, tapped exhaust port for venting of supply media, external zero adjustment and a completely sealed cover.
PMV-EP5 FAIL FREEZE
The PMV-EP5 Fail Freeze offers enhanced system safety gained from its fail freeze characteristic. In the event that the 4-20 mA input signal is lost, PMV-EP5 Fail Freeze will fail in place. The unit is loop powered and therefore does not need an additional power supply. The positioner features a rugged design, high gain, high capacity gold plated spool valve, external zero adjustment, gauge ports, replaceable filter, tapped exhaust port, all in an IP65/NEMA 4 enclosure.
Additional capabilities include the direct mounting of a sealed feedback unit, F5, with the ability to include switches, position transmitter or a potentiometer. The F5 mounts on top of the PMV-EP5 Fail Freeze requiring no additional brackets or linkage.
